Jean Yoo, known affectionately as Jeanie, is a Korean-American multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in New York. Currently pursuing a BFA in painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, she anticipates graduation in June 2024.

Since 2020, Jeanie has made significant strides in the fashion world, captivating over 120,000 followers as an influencer and model. With engagements spanning fashion weeks and diverse projects across NYC, LA, Paris, and Tokyo, she has collaborated with prominent brands such as Hulu, Viktor & Rolf, Free People, Urban Outfitters, and Hysteric Glamour.

Jeanie has exhibited her work in many group shows, most notably "Would That: Expressions of Possibility in the Asian American and Diaspora", curated by Diana Khoi Nguyen at the Providence Public Library in Rhode Island. In 2022 and 2023, she served as an invited panelist in an annual artist alumni talk at Jericho Senior High School in New York.
My artistic focus delves into three pivotal relationships I consider significant and volatile: the connection to myself, to my physical body, and to my mother. The paintings I create frequently oscillate between highly figurative depictions and abstract forms, embodying a tension that I continually strive to reconcile.
